as feedback poured in from our fans, one thing was made clear - our website was not user friendly. much to our dismay, we took an audit of our page and agreed. it was too busy, and the site navigation was confusing. as a uk based company, we took this as an opportunity to look across the pond and unify our creative, leaning into some core brand elements while streamlining the functionality issues. what came out of the process was an eye catching site that was easy to navigate. as a result we saw guests stay on the site longer and come back more frequently.

BE THE HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTEST 

it’s no surprise when planning corporate events during the holiday season, private space reigns supreme. being that acebounce was an open layout, we had to compete as a venue with no privacy to offer. on the upside, what we lacked in privacy we made up for in entertainment value. my team was tasked with supporting our sales team to dream up add ons and cool collateral that would push the client over the edge and convince them to book with us. one idea that we leveraged were our ‘games gurus’, sourced from chicago’s improv scene, these were dedicated party captains who got everyone involved and kept them laughing. after a tremendously good response, we tested the waters with an email promotion that prompted guests to book their holiday events prior to november 1st to receive a free games guru and saw over 25 redemptions.

I GOTTA LOTTA PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE 
In true acebounce fashion while other bars went overboard with christmas lights and nutcrackers, we veered left and threw a festivus for the rest of us! themed after the secular, anti-consumerist celebration made famous by seinfeld, the bottomless brunch series featured feats of ping pong, an airing of grievances and a cookie decorating station. by leveraging best eventbrite promotion practices our team was able to increase ticket sales by 30% year-over-year.  

BRING IT ON, 2020

unlockING the best of the 2000's

in 2000 we began the new century, and millennium with hope. why? because a scrappy group of cheerleaders taught us that winning isn’t as valuable as the respect we have for each other. things have changed since then, but 2020 brought with it a renewed sense of determination. so we brought back those cheerleaders and all our favorite moments from the past 20 years to kick off 2020 with a serious bang of positive energy! our positive vibes brought success and the 400 guest event completely sold out!

at acebounce, i was able to compile information from existing monthly marketing analysis to streamline the design and revamp the information reported on in the monthly template. this not only gave our operations and leadership teams a timely pulse check on our overall digital footprint but gave our operations team the opportunity to implement operational changes and focus on creating a stronger brand identity. this includes but is not limited to event recaps, press coverage, influencer content, a customer review matrix, third party delivery platform reviews, lto performance, e-blast performance, web analytics and seo strength.

by the time i arrived at acebounce, the team had already grown an impressive email database and had successfully been delivering promotions, happenings, and incentives to a large subset of games. however it was my job to drive action by working with our operations team to construct attractive incentives that would entice guests to return. these calls to actions were intended to usher the user to click thru to our website and ultimately redeem specific offers in-store while still remaining profitable for our team.

in year three, acebounce was familiar to the people of chicago. they knew our venue and our offerings. most people had been once or twice, so our goal was to invite guests in for more. it was no longer enough that we are fun and new - we needed to build an emotional bond with our audience by reminding them the greatest times happen around a table. It started on our social media channels, leaning on nostalgia to evoke the fun to be had with friends gathered around a table.

'CAUSE THIS IS THRILLER

halloween at acebounce needed to be more than just another holiday. It needed to be highly shareable and engaging to not only appeal to our target demo, but make our guests feel like an acebounce event is a must and a guaranteed good time. our team achieved this by paying homage to the ultimate halloween anthem - thriller. we layered the event with a dj, costume contest and flash mob at midnight and teamed up with some talented vendors to bring it all to life! the word spread quickly thanks to a combination of memes, videos and google ads. finally, we created this video to show those not in attendance what they missed out on. because whosoever shall be found without the soul for getting down, must stand and face the hounds of hell and rot inside a corpse's shell.
